Stage 3 & 4: 2008 Trial Ride

Stage 3:
After two gruelling opening stages of the 2008 Absa Cape Epic the third day promises a slight reprieve for weary riders. The third stage starts with a 600m climb. After 40km the route turns onto rugged jeep track and riders get to enjoy the awesome scenery that surrounds them. They will realize why they are doing this unique race, ponder what a normal mundane Monday at the office would be like and start to really enjoy the experience. Although the distance still tops 128km the pace will be fast and riders will enjoy two special land access nature reserves never before ridden on the Absa Cape Epic.
Stage 4:
On the fourth stage riders will enjoy the classic "sharks tooth" profile in a very balanced day when the 2008 Absa Cape Epic returns to some previous favourites. The trick on this day will be not to read any distance signs to nearby towns as this might give you a false sense of security leaving you with no enthusiasm for the final demanding kilometres. Get to the finish line and be assured that psychologically you will feel great knowing you have reached the half way mark and things should get easier from here!
